In this recipe we take this traditional holiday drink dating back hundreds of years up a notch with the addition of espresso. Spicy, boozy and delicious.
If you are a sweet tooth, prepare a simple syrup to add to the mix, by mixing 1 part of water with 1 part of sugar or simply add superfine sugar into the shaker, but don’t forget to dissolve it first.
Method: Shake and strain
Glass: Cognac or Absinth
Garnish: Grated Nutmeg
Ingredients
50 ml (1 ¾ oz) sweet sherry
30 ml (1 oz) Espresso
1 egg yolk
30 ml (1 oz) milk
Preparation
Combine all the ingredients into a shaker, shake and strain into a chilled glass.
Grate a nutmeg on top
